Characteristics:
Unsaturated, liquid yellow polyester resin, highly reactive, dissolved in styrene, free from gels and mechanical impurities.
Intended Use:
The product is intended for general-purpose applications, mainly for producing decorative castings. It can be mixed with mineral (e.g., chalk) or organic fillers that are resistant to styrene. The product can also be used as a filler for minor repairs and filling gaps in composite, plastic, and wood elements. The resin can also be used for producing laminates reinforced with polyester or fiberglass fibers that are not subjected to heavy mechanical loads. The product is not intended for producing structural building components or elements subjected to heavy loads.
Curing System:
The polyester resin is chemically curable. The recommended composition of the ready-to-use mixture is:
100 parts by weight of resin
2 parts by weight of Butanox M-50 or similar hardener (methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, active oxygen content of 10% ± 1%)
0.2 parts by weight of 10% cobalt accelerator.
Mix the components thoroughly. The minimum curing temperature is 25°C. The amounts of hardener and accelerator in the ready-to-use mixture should be adjusted according to the resin processing conditions.
